Shedding Light on Housing Rights and Responsibilities: Partner
ing with Faith Organizations
Staff of Housing Rights, Inc. have a program through which we
partner with communities of faith to in order to increase
access to housing for everyone!
Many people go first to their place of worship when troubled or looking for services. It is very important that the staff of local churches, synagogues, mosques and other places of workshop know about our services so that they may refer congregants to us who may be experiencing problems exercising their right to housing.
Please consider inviting us to make a presentation to your service committees, leadership groups or other gatherings of your congregation. We have material that can be placed in public places. (Available to organizations in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, you may download a form from this website. Please fax back to us with your name and address.)
We are available to conduct workshops and tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities and consumer protections for homeowners. And if you happen to hold a public event at which there will be informational tables we would be glad to participate.
And finally, consider joining us in April to celebrate “April is Fair Housing Month’ with a special service or gathering.
