HIC is a project of Housing Rights, Inc. our goal is to provide low income households with information that can be used to pursue homeownership. We provide a variety of services designed to meet this goal as well as providing the information located on this website.

The first step is: Are you ready for homeownership?
Part of being ready is to have your finances in order. So you will want to Manage Your Money and Understand Credit.

When you ARE ready for homeownership you will want to Get a Mortgage and Shop for a Home.

If you aren't ready or decide you don't want to buy a home you may consider the benefits of getting your finances in shape. You may have other goals, like living in a better place, buying a computer, going back to school. Financial Education will help you to reach these goals.

If you are already a Home Owner, you want to also consider getting your finances in shape. You may also want a refresher course on what is available from banks to refinance your current mortgage or you need to make repairs. Home Buyer Education may be just for you.
