Tom Mosmiller has served the East Bay community of People Living with HIV/AIDS through his work with housing assistance service contractors for the Alameda County Public Health Department's Office of AIDS Administration since 2000. Previously, he was the HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS) Services Coordinator at the Alameda County Department of Housing & Community Development for two years. His AIDS work focus stretches back to 1985 and the early days of the epidemic.

Through numerous volunteer involvements, he has endeavored to support gender and racial justice and economic democracy. And he enjoys the irony of advocating locally that "Housing is Healthcare" as the federal HIV/AIDS Bureau promulgates.
